Our Year 4 pupils recently embarked on an exciting three-day residential adventure to the historic seaside town of Whitby, bringing their curriculum to life.
The trip was a perfect blend of history and coastal fun. Our pupils took part in a guided tour of the town, getting up close to iconic landmarks such as the famous Whalebone Arch and the striking ruins of Whitby Abbey. Seeing these local sights firsthand offered a fantastic insight into the rich heritage of the Yorkshire coastal town.
Of course, no trip to the seaside is complete without some time on the beach! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed playing games on the sand, taking in the stunning coastal views, and enjoying plenty of delicious ice cream.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 4 pupils for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and the exemplary way they represented Wakefield Girls’ throughout their stay. It was an unforgettable three days filled with learning, laughter, and wonderful memories!
