Fee Information
2025-26
We appreciate that choosing an independent school is a major financial commitment for any family. Our fees compare favourably with other independent schools and we remain committed to providing excellent value.
Our school fees include:

- Exam fees
- Learning support
- Curriculum-based trips and visits
- Student accident insurance
Fees are payable by direct debit in 12 monthly instalments between June and May of each year.
Wakefield Grammar School Foundation Fees
Our Pre-Preparatory school welcomes children from their third birthday into our Foundation stage 1 (FS1) classes.
We accept payment from Early Years Funding Vouchers and are pleased to provide 15 hours a week free education for eligible children in FS1 and FS2 through the Early Years Funding Scheme (EYFS). Early Years Funding is available until the term in which your child turns 5.
In FS1, we charge fees at a sessional rate based on the hours and days your child attends:

FS1 fees are not subject to VAT.
* Free education is available for eligible children under EYFS and are subject to certain eligibility criteria. Funded hours include the EYFS educational provision only. They do not include optional services or consumables such as snacks, trips, forest school or specialist sport or music lessons.

** FS2 fees vary depending on eligibility for Early Years Funding. The fees stated above assumes your child turns 5 during the Autumn term, however some younger children will continue to benefit from 15 free hours through the year.
The fees stated above are VAT inclusive where applicable.
INDIVIDUAL MUSIC TUITION
Individual music tuition is charged per lesson, and this is invoiced termly in arrears.
£27.50 per lesson (Average of 10 lessons per term, including VAT).
After School Care
We offer after school care for our Pre-Prep and Junior students:
Early Morning Care (Pre-Prep pupils only) from 7.45am £4.25 per session
After School Care to 4.30pm £6.40 per session
After School Care to 6.00pm £9.50 per session

Note:
A full term’s notice in writing to the Director of Finance and Operations is required before a pupil is withdrawn from any school in the Foundation. This does not apply to pupils in Year 13.
