Fee Information
2025-26
We appreciate that choosing an independent school is a major financial commitment for any family. Our fees compare favourably with other independent schools and we remain committed to providing excellent value.
Our school fees include a deliciously healthy three course lunch, books, stationery, Chromebook (senior section), exam fees, learning support, curriculum-based trips and visits and student accident insurance.
The fees for the academic year starting September 2025 are inclusive of VAT, with lunch costs shown separately as per VAT guidelines.
Wakefield Grammar Pre-Preparatory School
We welcome Early Years Funding Vouchers and are pleased to provide 15 hours a week free education for eligible children in FS1 and FS2. Early Years Funding is available until the term after your child’s 5th birthday.
FS1 fees will not be subject to VAT.

Funded sessions include Early Years Funded educational provision only. They do not include optional services or consumables such as snacks, trips, forest school, PE sessions with specialist PE coaching staff or specialist music lessons. The Foundation may make additional charges for these and any other additional services.
INDIVIDUAL MUSIC TUITION
Individual music tuition is charged per lesson, and this is invoiced termly in arrears.
£27.50 per lesson (Average of 10 lessons per term, including VAT).
After School Care
We offer after school care for our Pre-Prep and Junior students:
Early Morning Care (Pre-Prep pupils only) from 7.45am £4.25 per session
After School Care to 4.30pm £6.40 per session
After School Care to 6.00pm £9.50 per session

Note:
A full term’s notice in writing to the Director of Finance and Operations is required before a pupil is withdrawn from any school in the Foundation. This does not apply to pupils in Year 13.
