This week, our Year Four historians had a truly wonderful outing as part of their curriculum focus on the Ancient Egyptians. We were delighted to team up with the Year 4 pupils from QEGS for the very first time on this trip, making it a fantastic collaborative experience.

The children delved deep into the past, exploring many fascinating elements of Egyptian life. They gained a richer understanding of the country’s geography, unique culture, and its remarkable history. The excitement was palpable as they came face-to-face with a real Egyptian mummy—a sight that truly brings history to life! Not only did they observe, but they also had great fun learning about the complex and intricate steps involved in the ancient mummification process.

It was a brilliant day packed with discovery that will surely support their learning back in the classroom!
