This week, our Year 7 pupils are fully immersing themselves in their residential trip to YMCA Lakeside. It’s been an action-packed week of outdoor adventure and team building exercises.

They’ve already tackled some incredible activities, including bushcraft, archery, raft building, rock climbing, and abseiling, all while enjoying stunning views. Tonight, they’re looking forward to unwinding with a well deserved hot chocolate around the campfire. It’s safe to say our Year 7’s are having an incredible time and making memories that will last a lifetime!

YMCA Lakeside is always very popular with our Year 7’s because it helps them build crucial skills like resilience, teamwork, and communication. The residential also challenges them to step out of their comfort zones and promotes the strong sense of community that is so important at Wakefield Girls’.
