Last week we came together for a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, showcasing the rich tapestry of heritages and traditions represented within our school. The event was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity and understanding.
Students enthusiastically shared their cultural backgrounds through a variety of engaging activities. The event featured a delightful array of international foods, prepared and shared by students and their families, offering a culinary journey around the world. Demonstrations of traditional dance, a captivating catwalk fashion show highlighting various cultural attire.
The event also highlighted the diverse interests and passions of our students, with clothing choices reflecting hobbies, sporting interests, and other personal expressions. The spirit of friendship and collaboration was palpable throughout the event, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. A heartfelt thank you is extended to everyone who contributed food and shared their cultural traditions, making the day a truly memorable experience. We raised around £170 throughout Culture Day and this is going to Yorkshire Children’s Charity who specialise in providing friendship, support and help to the changing needs of children as they grow up.
