Our students at both the junior and senior school embraced a fun and meaningful challenge at our exciting cultural charity bake sale in support of Wakefield Hospice, our main charity of the year. Students put their baking skills to the test, crafting delicious sweet treats inspired by global traditions. But there was a twist, each student had to write their recipe and ingredients list in the native language of their chosen dish, giving them a fantastic opportunity to put their language skills into practice!
Not only did they explore new cultures through festive biscuits and cakes from around the world, but they also made a real difference by raising almost £200 for a great cause. All of the baked goods were sold during break and lunch, with proceeds going directly to Wakefield Hospice. What a sweet way to support a worthy charity while having fun in the kitchen and learning new languages!
