As part of the largest debating competition in the world, our team performed brilliantly, securing first place in their opening heat. Saachi and Sophie tackled the profound motion of whether authors should prioritise ‘hopeful stories’ over narratives of oppression, demonstrating sharp analytical skills and a mature grasp of complex global themes.
The duo spent the day in the historic Oxford Union, competing in four intense rounds against students from across the globe. While they narrowly missed the novice final, it was an inspirational experience that showcased their world-class public speaking skills.
We are incredibly proud of their success on the international stage and the sophisticated manner in which they represented the Foundation among such elite competition.
