Taking Our Learning Outside The Classroom: Our Year 13 Biology Field Trip

9th October 2025

Our Year 13 biology pupils are making great progress on their three-day field trip in Filey and Scarborough! They’re currently enjoying day two out on the coastline, putting their A-Level knowledge to the test.

The students have been fully engaged in hands-on ecological study, focusing on the rocky shore environment. Key activities include investigating the distribution of limpets and meticulously mapping out various seaweed species.

This immersive experience is providing a fantastic opportunity to apply classroom theory in a real world setting. Learning truly doesn’t get more practical than this!
