Year 8 Classics Class Embarked on a Journey Through Time in the Bay of Naples!

During the February half-term break, the Classics Department embarked on an exciting educational journey to the Bay of Naples. Year 8 students spent three and a half days exploring the captivating remains of the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and delving into the rich history showcased at the renowned Naples Museum.

Fueled by the legendary Pizza Margherita, the students immersed themselves in the ancient world, bringing their Classics studies to life.The trip provided invaluable insights, connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences.

Beyond the academic and learning opportunities, the trip fostered valuable life skills. Students demonstrated remarkable independence, navigating airports, airlines, and hotels with confidence and maturity. Their interactions with locals, from the coach driver and tour guide to shopkeepers in Sorrento, were consistently polite and respectful, reflecting positively on the school.

This enriching experience will undoubtedly inspire a lifelong passion for Classics in these young minds.
