Advice from Alumna: Instagram Live Interviews

10th January 2024

On Thursday 11th January, the newest instalment of our Alumna Instagram Live interviews will be airing live at 5pm, from our Wakefield Girls’ Instagram account

As part of our Pathways to Success program, we provide fortnightly interviews with former students working in a wide variety of different sectors so our current students can discover role models and gain insight as to what it’s really like in these careers. You can watch live at 5pm on Thursday. Alternatively, catch up on any of our recordings here or directly on our Instagram page.

This week we will be speaking with Anya Novak (OG, 1991), an infrastructure specialist working for the Department for Business and Trade. Anya studied three languages at A-Level before leaving Wakefield Girls’ to study Modern and Medieval Languages and Literature at University of Cambridge.

Anya will be recounting her memories of studying at Wakefield Girls’, share important lessons she has learnt throughout her career, and discuss the skills she developed whilst studying languages and how it supported her career trajectory resulting in her current role as an infrastructure specialist. This interview is definitely not one to miss!
