On Saturday 11th November, our U14 and U16 netball squads competed in the West Yorkshire round of the England Netball National Schools Competition. Our county is divided into 4 regions and the West Yorkshire region is notoriously tough and a difficult stage to pass through. Even though our U14 team gave it everything they had, showing outstanding team work and some superb netball, they narrowly missed out on a place at Regional Finals. The squad are disappointed, but we will regroup and continue to work hard knowing that we will have another go next season.

In the U16 competition our squad, lead by Captains Tara (C) and Nancy (GA), beat every school in their age group. The whole squad played brilliantly and were complemented by other schools and umpires for their conduct off the court and their outstanding play on the court. The squad includes 3 Year 10 students, Charlotte (GS), Annabel (WA) and Ella (GD). The Year 11 students who competed alongside the aforementioned are Holly (GK), Ellie (WA), Charlotte (GS) and Emily (WD). The squad are already back training and preparing for Regionals at the end of January.
