Year 7 Zumba To Support Love Me Love My Face Foundation

9th February 2023

In our daily lives here in school, we encourage and educate everyone in our community to have an understanding of and deep respect for diversity.   We grow in awareness and learn  together, guided by a spirit of empowerment.  We believe that all in our community should feel valued and respected, be able to share their knowledge and talents and be given the opportunity to thrive as equal contributors in enriching life at Wakefield Girls’.

It was an exciting day for Year 7 when a special visit came from Jono Lancaster from the Love Me Love My Face Foundation.   Jono shared an inspiring session with Year 7,  talking about creating positivity and respect in our connections with others, the importance of kindness to ourselves as well as others and also talking about ways of improving self-esteem.

In support of the Love Me Love My Face Foundation,  Year 7 decided to arrange and participate in a sponsored  Zumba session, donating proceeds to this worthy cause.

If you’d like to support too, you can do so via this link.
