We’re all about happily empowering girls and we love seeing this in practice.
Year 7 student and history enthusiast Sophie has made us all proud with her recent speech at Wentworth Castle. Sophie spoke with confidence, clarity, good pace and engaged well with her audience about The Cutler Staircase which dates to the Jacobean period and the Long Gallery which, at 180 feet in length, is believed to be the longest room to be found in any house in Europe, without supporting archways !
What a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the hard work and effort developing the wonderful destination, a partnership between Barnsley Council, The National Trust and Northern College. Well done Sophie!
