Following her Wakefield Girls’ education, Alexis attended Cambridge University between 2001 and 2010 where she graduated with  a BA and MSCi in Natural Sciences and went on to do Phd, becoming a Doctor of Philosophy (Oncolgy).  Alexis leads a research team to understand how our cells proliferate during development and in maintaining tissue homeostasis, and how these control mechanisms are perturbed in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.
