Throughout Careers Week we have had a range of events and talks offering students invaluable insights and guidance as they navigate their future paths. With inspiring career talks from our esteemed alumnae, Year 12 students furthered their Pathways to Success journey by attending the UCAS Discovery Day in Manchester.
Building upon their work in the Personal Pathways Programme, students explored a wealth of opportunities, engaging with over 130 providers of traditional degrees, apprenticeships, and diverse careers. The UCAS team also shared essential tips to support students in their applications for September 2026. Students embraced the chance to take ownership of their futures, engaging in conversations with university representatives, discovering courses and university life, and gathering valuable resources and information on alternative routes.
The week’s momentum will be continued with a series of insightful career talks and lectures from alumnae, including Hillary Carver (Events Manager, Tottenham Hotspur), Bobby Sarvat Fida (Principal Optometrist, Newmedica), and Claire Young (Entrepreneur and BBC Apprentice finalist). These sessions provide students with real-world perspectives and inspiration from Old Girls .
Looking ahead, students are now encouraged to explore Open Days, with some already taking the initiative to plan visits. The formal launch of the UCAS application process in May will mark the next exciting step in their journey. This comprehensive Careers Week has ignited student ambitions and empowered them to confidently pursue their chosen pathways.
