As students in Year 10 start their one-to-one careers meetings, Wednesday morning’s Year 10 Take Over the Sixth Form was an opportunity to consider the important step between their GCSEs and future career aspirations: the exciting opportunities of life in the Sixth Form. Activities reflecting on the values they feel are important and hearing from alumna and recent graduate Zaina Khan about her journey to find the right pathway to success, contrasted well with the opportunity to informally chat with current Year 12 students representing the broad range of A level subjects offered at WGHS. From discussing Sixth Form focused EDGE options, leadership opportunities, and additional qualifications, to delicious food at break and lunch times the students had a really enjoyable Sixth Form experience.
