Year 8 Disco with QEGS

9th February 2024

The joint disco for Year 8 students from Wakefield Girls’ and QEGS on the afternoon of Friday 9th February was a great way to mark the end of the half-term. The collaboration between the two senior sections not only provided an enjoyable experience but also fostered positive social interactions among the students.

To strengthen the sense of community and friendly competition, various House-based activities were organised. Each House had its designated area where students could come together, engage with each other, and participate in fun games and challenges.

This initiative not only adds an element of camaraderie but also promotes teamwork and a sense of belonging among the students. Such joint activities play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive school environment.

Of course, no disco is complete without delicious treats and snacks to keep the energy levels high. There was a well-stocked tuck shop to satisfy the students’ appetites.

We hope all of the students enjoyed themselves and have a lovely half-term holiday.

Head of Year 8 and House Coordinator
