Year 3 and 4 Christmas Production

12th December 2023

Held at St. Austin’s Church, a local church only a stone’s-throw away from Wakefield Girls’; our Year 3 and Year 4 students put on a brilliant performance of ‘Baa Baa Bethlehem’ on Monday 11th December.

The event truly got our Junior parents and carers into the festive spirit, with lots of Christmas carols for the congregation to get involved with. Similarly, there were wonderful performances by our Under 9 Choir and our Suzuki Violins group.

The musical spotlights four young shepherds, who experience being ‘bottom of the heap’ and find that it is no fun. They never get to leave the hillside and take the sheep to market, and they are never allowed to sit near the fire on cold evenings – such treats are reserved for the older shepherds. However, on one marvellous, magical night, they are chosen to do a very special job that will change their places in the pecking-order forever…

Thank you to all our talented students for their lovely performances, your dedication and effort to learn your lines and rehearse the songs was admirable. Similarly, a big thank you to parents and caregivers for attending this event and supporting your child with their roles.
