Charity Leaders showed their true leadership skills today, hosting a very well organised and popular Knock-Out Staff Eating competition, bringing everyone together in high spirits.

Managing seven teachers, 5 courses and ticket sales to many excited spectators was an excellent opportunity for our Charity Leaders who raised over £300 for educational resources for refugees in Wakefield.

Needless to say, the competition was hot as teachers all wanted to be crowned the winner.  For every course, the last teacher to finish was eliminated culminating with Mr Hargreaves, Head of Classics, as champion.

The courses were no mean feat: a dry cracker with no water course; a skittle eating with chopsticks course; a cutting up chocolate with knives and forks dressed for winter course;  eating maltesers from whipped cream without using hands course and the finale – Chubby Bunny marshmallow course.

Thank you to the many spectators who cheered, hollered and supported in an amazing way – what a fantastic way to spend lunchtime.
