On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming our incoming Year 7 cohort to Wakefield Girls’! Designed to give them a taste of life in the Senior Section, the day was packed with activities to help them settle in and make new friends.

Our new students began their journey with introductions from their form tutors, followed by engaging icebreaker activities that quickly brought smiles and laughter. They received plenty of warm welcomes from different teachers around the school, making them feel right at home. A particular highlight was their participation in House Games, where they eagerly earned points for their respective Houses, fostering early team spirit.

It was truly wonderful to see every student embracing their first experience in the Senior Section with such enthusiasm. Their energy and excitement were infectious!

A huge thank you to all the students and staff who helped make this day so incredibly special and memorable for our new Year 7’s. We are absolutely delighted to have them join the Senior Section of Wakefield Girls’ in September, and we can’t wait to see them become a key part of our school community.
