Farewell to our Head Girl Team of 2024/25

8th May 2025

As another academic year begins to draw to a close, we take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude and bid farewell to our current Head Girl team and our dedicated Heads of House. We celebrate their remarkable achievements and acknowledge the immense hard work and significant time they have generously given to their roles throughout the year.

This exceptional team of young women has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, injecting tremendous energy into their responsibilities and skillfully using each other’s strengths to excel in every endeavour they have undertaken as a team. They have carried out their duties with unwavering responsibility, pride, and integrity, serving as exemplary role models for the entire school community.

Throughout the past year, they have been outstanding ambassadors for Wakefield Girls’, representing our school with remarkable energy and commitment. Their dedication has ensured that all our students, from Year 3 right through to Year 13, have felt heard, valued, and empowered to learn and achieve their full potential in their chosen paths.

Associate Head, Mrs Tingle, perfectly highlighted the outstanding effort and dedication of the current Head Girl team:

Being a part of Wakefield Girls’ is something special, and being elected by your peers and staff  for a role on the Senior Prefect team is a huge honour. . We are incredibly proud of our Sixth Form, which remains a vital cornerstone of our school, fostering independence, confidence, and providing wonderful role models for our younger students.

This team of young people have represented and cared for the school community over the past year. They have given up a great deal of time and energy to give something back to our school, using each other’s skills to the team’s advantage to ensure they fulfil the expectations of their roles with responsibility, pride, humour and integrity. They are a brilliant bunch and I am incredibly proud of each one of them for what they have achieved, given to their role and contributed to school. Thank you all for your outstanding work – Wakefield Girls’ is undoubtedly a better place because of you all. Cherish these final days in school and hold onto the friendships you’ve made

Mrs J Tingle

Associate Head

We extend our deepest thanks to these inspiring young leaders for their invaluable contributions to Wakefield Girls’. Their commitment and passion have made a massive difference to our school community, and we wish them all the very best as they undertake their A-Level exams.
