Students from Belgrano Day School in Argentina visited us on Tuesday for a day of friendly competition in hockey and volleyball. The day proved a resounding success, with both schools showcasing their athletic talent and fostering cultural exchange.
In hockey, the U18 match saw Belgrano edge out a 2-0 victory despite a strong defensive effort from the our team. The U16s, however, triumphed with a 6-2 win, showcasing impressive passing and finishing.
The afternoon focused on volleyball, with U18, two U16, and a newly formed U15 teams competing. The U18 match was a closely contested set, ultimately won by Belgrano 26-24. The U16 and U15 games provided valuable experience for many students, with all three home teams demonstrating great determination and teamwork. One of the U16 teams secured a convincing win thanks to consistent serving and passing.
Beyond the competition, the day emphasized learning about different cultures . Students from both schools connected, sharing stories and forming new friendships. The visit concluded with the giving of small gifts, leaving a lasting positive impression on all involved.
