Hartley Pavilion was transformed into a magical festive market for our annual Charity Christmas Fayre, bringing together small local businesses and students from Wakefield Girls’ High School to celebrate the holiday season.
The market featured a variety of stalls offering delicious food and treats to delight visitors, alongside fantastic gift ideas for family and friends. Attendees had the chance to immerse themselves in the Christmas spirit with glitter tattoos, face painting, and the steady hand game. For those feeling lucky, the Tombola—generously stocked with donated items from our school community—offered the opportunity to win wonderful prizes.
The event was enriched by a variety of live performances that brought festive cheer and showcased the incredible talents of our students. A huge congratulations to all our performers for embodying the spirit of Christmas and making the day extra special.
We extend our thanks to our students and families across the Wakefield Grammar School Foundation who attended and contributed to the festive magic. Your purchases and participation made a significant impact, as all proceeds from the Fayre will support our main charity of the year, Wakefield Hospice. These funds will make a meaningful difference to those in need.
A special thanks goes out to all of the guests ,students and staff who ran stalls and to everyone who helped out during the fayre We raised an impressive £922 for Wakefield Hospice!
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄
