On Wednesday 19th June, we held our annual Key Stage 3 Music Festival, an exciting opportunity for our musicians in Years 7-9 to come together and display their impressive musical talent, whilst our guest adjudicator listened and enjoyed.
We were thrilled to welcome Ms Warrington, a music teacher for the Foundation who was our adjudicator for the evening.
Thank you to all our students who performed:
Yasmin – Don’t Look Back In Anger, Oasis
Olivia – Movement de Valse, Louise Farenc
Alana – Danny Boy, Weatherly
Adrina – Scherzo, Daniel Van Goens
Kate – Chansonne Boheme, Bizet
Catherine – Moon River, H Mancini
Annie – Tequila Sunrise, Pam Wedgewood
Zeba – When I Was Your Man, Bruno Mars
Riya – Home, Lisa Kessler
Daisy – Gigue, Augusta Holmes
Mia – Sicilienne, Faure
Azariah – Black Sheep of the Family, Norton
They all played brilliantly, and we would like to thank all our students for performing with such confidence and skill. Thank you to Mrs Mathieson who was our accompanist for the evening.
Congratulations to Year 7 student Adrina, whose cello performance was chosen by Ms Warrington as her favourite – Adrina was awarded the KS3 Musician of the Year trophy and earned 50 House points for Mackie!
All the evening’s performers were awarded 10 house points for their brilliant playing and participation, which only adds to the suspense and excitement for the House Finale on the final week of term – these last minute House points can make all the difference!
