On Friday 8th May our Under 9 and Under 11 Choirs competed in the Annual Wharfedale Music Festival in Ilkley. Both choirs gave exciting performances of their repertoire and received an honours mark. The adjudicator, Mr John Foster was full of praise for our singers. 

He complimented our Under 9s on their cheerful and rhythmic performances, discussing their effective singing in parts as well as their real discipline as a group. Our Under 11s, who were placed first overall, winning the magnificent Frank Newbould Trophy were complimented on their warm tone and the expressive shaping of the melodic lines – particularly in ‘Believe’ with beautifully balanced parts and effective dynamics. 

Well done to all our Junior students who performed, it is always a pleasure to listen to you.
