On Wednesday 1st May, as the school bell rang signalling the end of the school day, we were so excited to welcome parents for our new series of Rush Hour Concerts. We were also very excited to be performing for the first time in the newly acquired Christian Science Church Hall which proved to be a wonderful venue for the event. The concert allowed us to spotlight some of our fabulous musicians. This afternoon was the turn of our Junior Musicians who performed on a wide variety of instruments, including Tenor Horn, Bassoon, Drums, piano. Violin, Trumpet, and Flute.
All our soloists had won their sections in the InterHouse Young Musician of the Year competition, held back in March. It was also lovely to hear piano duets: these pupils are all members of our Four Hands Club which meets on a Friday morning and whose aim is to allow our talented pianists an opportunity to perform as part of an ensemble.
Well done to all those who performed yesterday:
Overall, it was a lovely celebration of our young musicians in the Junior Section. Thank you to all family and friends who joined us in school and supported our students.
