On Wednesday 24th March we took our U10 and U11 cricket squads to Barlborough Hall to represent Wakefield Girls’ Junior Section in the first pairs cricket game of the season.
There were some excellent batting and fielding skills played by all students who worked hard to put the skills into action that they have been working on over the past few weeks.
Both matches were competitive but our astute fielding and powerful striking saw us win both games with catches, wickets, 4’s and 6’s being the order of the day.
Results:
U10 A Won by 16 runs (275 to 259)
U11 A Won by 74 runs (344 to 270)
