Congratulations to Year 11 student Edie who has been invited to speak at a Green Skills conference in Manchester on 12th October.

Edie is speaking about how young people see green jobs and what can companies and organisations can do to support young people to find employment in the sector. Her participation in this conference is as a result of a very well received speech she made at the Yorkshire and Humber climate commission earlier on in the year.

The event was a brilliant experience for Edie to continue to develop her interpersonal skills and gain even more public speaking experience. We are so proud of the positive role model Edie has become for young people, showing how engaged they are with current issues and presenting on a par with adults.
