Every Thursday is EDGE here at Wakefield Girls’ – a time for students to customise a corner of their timetable from our many extra-curricular opportuntites.

This afternoon, 9 February,  Year 7 students took over the Quad as part of their adventure into ‘Herculean Odyssey’, a study exploring Greek myth, following Hercules around the Greek world, looking at his labours, Greek architecture and Alexander the Great.  Students enjoyed learning all about the ancient Olympic games and exploring the similarities and difference between the ancient and modern Olympics with a whole afternoon experiencing some ancient Olympics events including the footrace, javelin, long jump and race with armour !
