On 21 October we held our annual Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme presentation ceremony.
Awards were presented to 136 students who achieved their Bronze, Silver or Gold DofE award in the last academic year.
Achieving an award gives participants skills, confidence and an edge over others when they apply for higher education or a job. It demonstrates their communication, commitment, leadership and teamwork. The award also provides participants with lifelong memories of adventures encountered and challenges faced whilst on expeditions.
Mr Eggleston, Deputy Head, Teaching and Learning who is the award verifier, checking that every approved award meets the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’s high standards, presented each of the certificates and badges this morning to the successful participants.
