Going Greek

4th October 2022
Excitement has been building for the Greek themed day that Mrs White has been planning as part of Languages Week. The fun learning began early as students in years 3 to 6 arrived in their Greek inspired costumes – togas, Greek wedding dresses, warriors and a 3 headed dog ! It was tough for girls to choose a highlight from their action packed day. Learning activities included painting Greek inspired pots, designing and making laurel crowns, learning Greek dances, writing in Greek script, cooking Greek food in our Food & Nutrition department and transporting water via their very own Archimedes screws. The Greek lunch we enjoyed with souvlaki, pita, tsatsiki and treacle tart topped it off !

Thank you Mrs White for such a super fun day of learning across so many aspects of the curriculum !
