Key Stage 3’s Got Talent

On Wednesday 15th June, Wakefield Girls in Years 7, 8 and 9 took to the stage in Jubilee Hall to show just how much talent they have.
The Junior Concert Band opened our twilight concert with a short performance to welcome our audience.  We heard from soloists from Years 7, 8 and 9 before awarding Amelie Williams as a KS3 Musician of the Year.

Other winning students were; Frankie Heaton, Catherine Mellor, Maisie Cunliffe, Dae Stephen, Amelie Williams and Hema Nair.

Many thanks to guest musician and our adjudicator for the evening, Dominic Ingham.  Dominic is an former QEGS student who went on to study Music at Cheetham’s Music School and then at Music college in London. Dominic currently performs all around the country as a Jazz violinist and vocalist and has his own albums.
