There’s an exciting end to half term at Wakefield Girls’ with a few announcements.
After a thorough review and voting process we are delighted to share that our four new houses will be named after people who originally lived in our school buildings: Heywood, Lee, Mackie and Clayton.
We’re equally delighted to welcome our new junior section House Captains and Deputies who will join forces with our senior House Captains and Deputies to lead each house. Congratulations to each on being awarded her leadership role. Our junior section captains are pictured above having drawn their house name from the sorting bag!
Our houses are:- Heywood (Yellow) – led by senior section House Captain, Katy and Deputy House Captain, Charlotte; junior section House Captain, Martha and Deputy House Captain, Heidi
- Lee (Blue) – led by senior section House Captain, Kelly and Deputy House Captain, Lucy; led by junior section House Captain, Imogen and Deputy House Captain, Grace
- Mackie (Red) – led by senior section House Captain, Tara and Deputy House Captain, Betty; led by junior section House Captain, Anaya and Deputy House Captain, Millie
- Clayton (Green) – led by senior section House Captain, Lucy and Deputy House Captain, Esher; led by junior section House Captain, Terri Marie and Deputy House Captain, Zoya
