It’s the rich array of experiences, activities and societies that makes Wakefield Girls’ such a bustling, dynamic and exciting place to be. Over 50 clubs and societies are held during the school week, encouraging involvement, firing passions and igniting new interests. Alongside EDGE, the many dedicated lunchtime clubs, societies and musical collaborations add breadth and diversity to the Wakefield Girls’ experience.

Each year, the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Wakefield Girls’ continues to go from strength to strength and, in recognition of the school having one of the highest completion rates in the area, we are officially recognised as an official DofE Centre.
The award, which challenges participants to further themselves through practical, cultural and adventurous activity has led to many pupils gaining their Bronze Award and a significant proportion achieving Silver and Gold.
