Following her seven year career at management consultancy Deloitte, Sophie joined BGF as an Investor.  BGF is the most active and influential investor in small and medium-sized businesses in the UK. They serve as a patient, minority, non-controlling equity partner with relationships built on shared long-term goals with the management teams they back.

“Without a clear idea of a career, I joined the Deloitte graduate scheme post-University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. I specialised in Mergers and Acquisitions, London, with clients including Harrods, Nestlé and LK Bennett. I returned to Yorkshire to join BGF in Leeds as an Investor where I find exciting, growing companies across the UK to invest in and work with their management teams to drive growth and value. My favourite aspect is that this is a really people-focused job.”
