After deciding medical school wasn’t right for her, Catherine set up a catering business to pay the bills while she changed direction and studied Psychology and a first class honours degree in mental health nursing.
With a career spanning various roles in Psychiatry and mental health nursing, Catherine has recently left her role as Professional Lead for Nursing in Leeds CAMHS and as a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist to take post at the University of Huddersfield, as a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing, in February 2022. As well as teaching Catherine will finally start studying for a PhD, a long-held ambition. She has already published in voice hearing (2016), is qualified as a Nurse Prescriber, and hold a PGCert in Systemic Practice (working with families).
