This week, our Junior pupils and our youngest learners in Pre-Prep have enthusiastically participated in Anti-Bullying Week, joining over 8 million children across the UK in this vital annual campaign! This year’s inspiring theme, ‘Use Your Power for Good,’ resonated throughout all the schools as we focused on the incredible influence of our words and the importance of using them to be supportive, kind, and positive.
The week began with a wonderfully colourful Odd Socks Day! Pupils were invited to wear mismatched socks to demonstrate their commitment to the anti-bullying cause. This was a fantastic way to celebrate individuality and uniqueness, highlighting that while we all have different personalities and designs, we are all valued members of the school community. The classrooms were brightened by a spectacular array of unique and colourful patterns!
Our Pre-Prep children dedicated time to Positive Noticing Day. In this heart-warming activity, they wrote kind and positive messages about each other, reinforcing the daily importance of kindness, respect, and mutual support among friends.
Meanwhile, pupils in the Junior Sections engaged in a series of dynamic workshops. These sessions were focused on developing strong friendship skills and the value of teamwork, all while highlighting the lasting impact of our actions on others’ feelings.
Anti-Bullying Week remains a crucial event on our calendar. It serves as a powerful reminder to stop bullying in its tracks and ensures every pupil understands how their behaviour affects others. We are incredibly proud of all our pupils for embracing the theme and showing that they truly use their power for good.
