At Wakefield Girls’, we believe in developing well-rounded pupils. Our curriculum is designed to help pupils build strong academic, life, and leadership skills. We offer a wide range of opportunities for pupils to grow as leaders, from joining the Head Girl Team and School Council to becoming Language Ambassadors, Games Captains, or Eco Warriors and many more. There are plenty of opportunities for our pupils to really get involved in the Wakefield Girls’ School community.
This week, we spoke with members of the School Council and the Eco Warrior team to hear about what their roles mean to them and why they are so important. These leadership roles, along with our varied curriculum and enrichment activities like Forest School and Outdoor Education, help our pupils build confidence and learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime.
We asked representatives from each year group in the Junior Section to share their thoughts. They highlighted their desire to represent the school positively and to help their fellow pupils as much as they can. Some of our Eco Warriors also mentioned the importance of protecting the environment and what we can do to help, especially in light of the climate change happening around the world.
All our young leaders play a vital role in helping our school community continue to grow and prosper. A big thankyou to all the pupils who take on these roles and undertake their duties so well.
