27th March 2025

Over the past few weeks we have been holding heats for the highly anticipated Mind Race competitions. This engaging event, designed to test both general knowledge and collaborative skills, saw House teams competing against each other in a series of challenging qualifying rounds.

Mind Race is a dynamic relay quiz, demanding not only quick recall and factual accuracy but also great communication and teamwork. Each House team, composed of students from a range of  year groups, huddled together, brainstorming answers and carefully thinking about their approach to each question. The relay element added an extra layer of excitement, as students raced against the clock.

The atmosphere in the Lecture Theatre was electric, filled with a palpable sense of friendly rivalry and unwavering support. Students cheered on their teammates, encouraging each other through the more challenging questions. The Mind Race competitions prove to be more than just a test of general knowledge, it’s a valuable exercise in honing essential teamwork skills, including communication and problem solving. Students learned to rely on each other’s strengths, to listen attentively, and to work together to achieve a common goal.
