New GCSE Speaking Assessment – How to Best Prepare and Assess Students

An online option will be available if required.

This session offers a valuable opportunity for MFL teachers and HoDs to explore how best to teach and assess the new GCSE Speaking specification.

The session will:

• Summarise the key changes to the new format
• Provide a supportive space to share strategies, resources, and classroom approaches
• Encourage collaboration and exchange of best practice

This meeting will provide a valuable opportunity for MFL teachers and HoDs from across the region to come together and reflect on the first year of delivering the new GCSE specification. It will offer a supportive forum to share experiences, explore practical classroom strategies, and consider both the challenges and opportunities ahead.
