Spreading the festive joy : Our senior citizens Christmas dinner

5th December 2024

On Monday, students from QEGS and WGHS came together to spread holiday cheer by assisting at the annual Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner. The event, which was held to celebrate the festive season, provided a delicious Christmas dinner complete with all the traditional trimmings to the elderly members of the community.

The atmosphere was warm and joyful, enhanced by the soothing sounds of the school band, who played a selection of festive tunes throughout the event, adding to the holiday spirit. The students worked hard to ensure the guests had an enjoyable and memorable time, assisting with everything from serving food to engaging in conversation with the guests, making them feel welcome and appreciated.

The collaboration between the two schools highlights the importance of community involvement and the value of giving back during the Christmas season. It’s wonderful to see our students not only excelling in their studies but also actively contributing to the well-being of the community around them.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their compassion, enthusiasm, and willingness to lend a hand. Their involvement in this heartwarming event brought much-needed festive joy to the senior citizens, making this holiday season even brighter for them.

We look forward to seeing more of our students take part in such meaningful community events in the future, fostering a spirit of kindness and connection throughout the year.
