On World Book Day, Pre-Prep and our Junior Sections were filled with literary legends as we celebrated World Book Day 2026. From the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to the enchanting halls of Hogwarts, our pupils embraced the day with incredible spirit and creativity.

It was heartening to see that the excitement went far beyond the costumes. Our pupils spent the day discussing their favourite authors and sharing the stories that have shaped their imaginations, proving that the love of reading is well and truly thriving throughout the Wakefield Grammar School Foundation.

A huge thank you to all our families for supporting this event with such inventive costumes. It was a wonderful day of discovery and a brilliant reminder of how books can unite and inspire us all.
