Dayanna’s Journey to Mount Everest Base Camp!

13th October 2025

Meet Dayanna, one of our dedicated Wakefield Girls’, who is embarking on an incredible challenge for the NSPCC.

She will be climbing Mount Everest Base Camp to raise funds for this vital organisation. The NSPCC works tirelessly to protect children, prevent abuse, and ensure that every child feels loved, valued, and empowered to achieve their fullest potential.

Dayanna will trek 130km, taking her time to acclimatise at high altitudes and prevent altitude sickness. This journey promises to be a once in a lifetime adventure as she discovers stunning landscapes along the way. These include lush green valleys, awe inspiring suspension bridges, and vibrant villages like Namche Bazaar, located at an altitude of 3,440 metres, where the challenges of high altitude truly come into play.

Reaching Everest Base Camp demands incredible resilience, determination, and patience. We are confident that Dayanna possesses all the qualities needed to undertake this remarkable journey. We will all be behind her every step of the way, and who knows, she could even find herself in the Guinness World Records!

Dayanna aims to raise at least £30,000 and would greatly appreciate any support you can offer; every contribution counts! Let’s come together to send this important message of hope to children across the UK. We thank you for any support you are able to give. 💙
