Prize Giving 2025

15th September 2025

Our Prize Giving ceremony took place, recognising success across our academic school life. Invited pupils and their families joined us for drinks in reception before making their way into Jubilee Hall for the ceremony.

This year, we celebrated the Class of 2025 with speeches from the Chair of Governors, The Mayor, former Head Girl Ellie T, and our alumnae guest speaker, Neena Dugar. We were also joined by members of Executive Leadership and the Governing Body.

We had a wonderful musical performance by Gabrielle who performed a number from Guys and Dolls. A huge thank you to Neena Dugar for taking time out of her busy schedule to travel from New York to deliver an inspiring speech and present the awards to our pupils.

Associate Head Judith Tingle congratulated all of the prize winners and noted how everyone was incredibly impressed with the pupils’ efforts throughout their time at Wakefield Girls’. She highlighted their collaborative spirit, effective time management, and commitment to attending extra clinics and booster sessions. She also praised their dedication to discovering the learning methods that best enable their success.

This traditional ceremony is a chance to take time to celebrate the girls’ many academic achievements, as well as the other qualities they’ve shown, such as leadership, kindness, teamwork, creativity, and community spirit.

Wakefield Girls’ stand out in every way, and our Prize Giving is a fantastic public demonstration of that. We believe celebrating the all-around success of our pupils is important to our community. It’s not only a way to congratulate our pupils but also a wonderful way to encourage everyone to revel in and value learning.
