Our fantastic Year 6 has returned safe and sound from an unforgettable residential trip to the Edale Activity Centre.
Their adventure kicked off with a day of fun and collaboration, as students took part in engaging icebreaker activities , quickly followed by an invigorating hike up the iconic Mam Tor.
Day two brought even more excitement, with one group venturing into the mysterious depths of the Giants Hole cave. Every single student displayed incredible bravery and impressive caving skills, showcasing their fantastic get-up-and-go attitude. We were so impressed!
The final days of the trip were blessed with glorious sunshine and even more exciting activities. Year 6 had a blast canoeing on the tranquil waters and challenged themselves to new heights with a crate stacking activity. On Friday morning, it was the second group’s turn to explore the fascinating tunnels and mazes of the Giants Hole cave, where they demonstrated remarkable resilience and teamwork.
To celebrate their achievements and make the most of the sunny weather, the Year 6 adventurers enjoyed well-deserved and delicious ice creams.
A huge well done to all of Year 6, who truly excelled throughout the trip, overcoming fears and embracing every challenge. We are all incredibly proud of you! A big thank you also goes to the wonderful team at YHA Edale Activity Centre for providing such an amazing and memorable experience for our pupils.
