We are Delighted to Announce the Head Girl Team for 2025/26

Each year, our shortlisted students participate in hustings, where Head Girl candidates share their views and plans with their peers and teachers, who then cast their votes. Today, we proudly revealed our newly elected Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl’s, and Senior Prefect Team. These esteemed positions carry significant responsibility and are key in helping shape our school’s ethos.

The Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl’s, Senior Prefect team and House Leaders serve as ambassadors for our school, embodying its spirit, ethos and values. They play an essential role in inspiring our younger students to  aspire to leadership roles and serve as representatives of Wakefield Girls’ High School in the wider community. Through their leadership, they highlight the strength of our school community and all it has to offer.

As the voice of the student body, the team ensures that all students’ opinions are heard and valued, helping shape school policies and practices.Beyond their leadership duties, they act as role models, offering guidance and support not only to Senior students but also to their younger peers. Their leadership is grounded in empathy, compassion, and inclusivity – always striving to empower every student and ensure they feel valued and included.

Senior Prefects:  Molly B, Freya G, Fleur H, Sophia H, Ishani K, Edie L, Tracy M, Victoria M, Alice M-S, Aoife M, Eiliyah P, Sara S-C and Nancy T.

Our remarkable Head Girl team shares a common set of values:  to empower and lead with purpose. We would like to congratulate all of them on their new roles. It’s your time to shine, and we’re excited to see the incredible contributions you’ll bring to Wakefield Girls’ High School.

We of course would like to send our utmost thanks to the current Head Girl team who have excelled in their roles. They have consistently offered unwavering support to all our students, driving positive change, and spreading joy, all while balancing their academic responsibilities. These positions offer more than just leadership; they provide a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact and inspire the next generation of leaders.
