On Tuesday, Year 4 transported themselves to the world of Ancient Greece for a day of immersive learning and spirited competition. Dressed in traditional Greek costumes, the students began their journey by delving into the captivating realm of Greek mythology, exploring the stories and powers of mighty gods like Zeus, Hermes, and Ares.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Ancient Greek Olympic Games! Students showcased their athletic prowess in events such as the shot put, where they cleverly applied their maths skills to measure and record their throws. The day concluded with a creative crafting session, as each student made their own Olympic wreath. These wreaths were then awarded to every participant, recognising their enthusiastic engagement and spirited participation in all of the day’s activities. The day was a resounding success, filled with learning, laughter, and a taste of Ancient Greek culture. We’re looking forward to continuing our exploration of Greek mythology later this week with our myths and legends workshop.
