Year 5 and 6 students took part in the incredible Young Voices Choir, they travelled by coach to the Sheffield Utilita Arena where they had the amazing opportunity to sing alongside thousands of other students from schools across the nation! It was an unforgettable experience, as our pupils performed a variety of songs with enthusiasm and energy, working together as one powerful voice. The atmosphere was electric, and the teamwork displayed by our students was truly inspiring. They supported each other to ensure they were confident with the lyrics and sounding their absolute best, making us so proud of their dedication and spirit!

There was a variety of singing and dancing throughout the choir ranging from: A Medley of songs from Bob Marley to celebrate his 80th Birthday, many fabulous dance themed numbers and of course the ever popular Pop Medley. It was an absolutely incredible experience for our Year 5 and 6 students to participate in the Young Voices Choir. The energy and enthusiasm was infectious! We were truly blown away by their amazing voices and the incredible performance they delivered. This was an unforgettable event, and we sincerely hope to make it back again next year. A huge well done to each and every student for their hard work and dedication, and of course their amazing singing!

“We had a great time at young voices. It was an extremely exciting experience.

We both think the lighting was amazing.We both loved the songs, the dancing and most importantly the atmosphere it was simply amazing.

We went on the coach, filled with enthusiasm and we were so excited to get to the stadium and when we got to go inside there were loads of people already but I had a feeling inside me that it was going to be the best tuesday night of my life. But when the show started I had butterflies in my tummy. But when the song started and the lights flashed to bright orange, I got so excited. And when it ended I felt sorry for myself. At least I could Have the experience.”

“One of my favorite parts was when we sang little blue ; we all decided to put our arms around each other and it was really sweet.

I really enjoyed when we sang fireworks in the pop medley because we all put our hands in the air and started jumping about even though we were so tired!!!

I also really enjoyed birdhouse in your soul because the song is just so mad and fun. (that’s why it’s my favorite song!)”

“Yesterday we went to young voices and it was one of the most amazing experiences  ever! One of my favourite parts was when everyone was swinging their little lights and it looked liked their was shooting stars everywhere! I also liked singing and dancing with my friends. Also,when the song “Little Blue” everyone was swaying together and it looked amazing! Andy the leader of Urban Strides told us all to do a mexican wave from one end to the other. It was really fun! Overall, I loved the experience and hope you enjoyed it to!”

“Yesterday,we went to young voices and it was amazing.We sang little blue and everyone was swaying and jumping and dancing.My favourite songs were Marley magic and birdhouse in your soul because it was really fun and exciting and when we got in from the coach and we saw it for the first time it was massive.I thought I was going to get lost but turns out I luckily I didn’t get lost.All the girls went crazy when they saw Andy for the first time and some girls got a photo with him.When I saw the other schools I thought there must be more than 5500 children turns out there were more than 10,000 children and more then turns out there was more than 4400 People there and I was very amazed of how they could fit so many people and how loud the Kids could scream!!!”
