Year 9 Students Explore Buddhism through Educational Visit to Local Buddhist Centre

28th January 2025

Year 9 students recently embarked on a unique learning experience at the Jamyang Buddhist Centre, which follows the Mahayana Tibetan tradition.

During the visit, students listened to an insightful talk by a practicing Buddhist, gaining valuable insights into key beliefs and rituals. They also explored the “gompa,” the centre’s main shrine room.

The day included an interactive question-and-answer session and a guided meditation session, providing students with a deeper understanding of Buddhist practices. This enriching experience perfectly complemented their current studies on Buddhism, offering a valuable opportunity for experiential learning.
