We are excited to share with you the wonderful experience our students had during their recent trip to Salts Mill Art Gallery in West Yorkshire. It was truly a valuable and enriching experience for our students to see and draw from the work of David Hockney in a gallery setting. We believe that this trip will greatly inform our teaching back in the classroom and inspire our students to explore their own creativity.

During the trip, our students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of art. They were able to view a wide range of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, and installations. The gallery showcased the works of both local and international artists, providing our students with a diverse and multicultural experience.

Seeing the artwork up close and personal allowed our students to appreciate the intricate details and techniques used by the artists. They were able to observe different styles and genres of art, sparking their curiosity and imagination. Our students were particularly fascinated by the use of color, texture, and perspective in the artwork.

The trip to Salts Mill Art Gallery will have a lasting impact on our teaching in the classroom. We will be incorporating the artists’ works into our lessons, using them as examples to teach various art techniques and concepts. By studying the artwork of established artists, our students will gain a deeper understanding of the creative process and be inspired to create their own unique pieces.
